Members of the Ottawa County Club Red pictured above are all smiles in anticipation of this year's B*A*S*H fundraising event. The photo was taken at the recent prelude event, Sherry & Chocolates. Click here for more details about B*A*S*H! |
Women have long played an important role in the Red Cross. In fact, a woman, Clara Barton, started the American Red Cross nearly 125 years ago. Since that time, women have been instrumental in nurturing and caring for victims during and after disasters. Women have also been an integral part of other aspects of the Red Cross by caring for soldiers during war, teaching lifesaving first aid and CPR classes, raising the funds to keep our mission vibrant, and so much more.
Club Red is our ladies-only organization to honor and harness the wide contribution of women to the Red Cross. Our goal is to find committed women in our community to once again support the Red Cross, not only financially, but with their time and talents as well. Club Red women advance the work we do in our community and find new ways to use the resources the Red Cross provides. Our mission is to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies, and Club Red provides many opportunities to extend the reach of the Red Cross in northwest Ohio. At the same time, Club Red provides a social outlet with several "Girls' Nights Out" throughout the year. At these events, you will learn more about the American Red Cross while having fun with your girlfriends.
There are three levels of membership in Club Red: Champion at $500; Hero at $250 and Lifesaver at $100. To become a Club Red member, click here to complete a membership application, and mail it with your membership fee* to:
