Click on the PDF symbol above to see the current Disaster Services Training Schedule. | Each year, the American Red Cross, Greater Toledo Area Chapter responds immediately to countless disasters throughout Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties, helping hundreds of families rebuild their lives and regain hope.
Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting people's immediate, emergency, disaster-caused needs. When a disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health & mental health services to address basic human needs. The heart of Red Cross disaster assistance is helping individuals and families affected by disaster to enable them to resume their normal daily activities independently.
The American Red Cross also feeds emergency workers, handles inquiries from concerned family members outside the disaster area, provides blood and blood products to disaster victims, and helps those affected by disaster to access other available resources. If you have had a disaster and need emergency assistance, call 419-329-6060 or 888-590-0098. Caseworkers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help you.
