Class Cancellation Notice
In the event of inclement weather, the American Red Cross will cancel classes to coincide with Toledo Public Schools. Tune in to your local television news program for a listing of cancellations.

The Red Cross has been approved by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to offer continuing education units (CEUs) for approved Red Cross training courses and presentations for professionals such as nurses, social workers, recreation professionals, teachers and day care providers.
Health and Safety Education
For nearly a century, the American Red Cross has prepared people to save lives through health and safety education and training. From first aid, CPR and preventing infectious disease transmission to swimming and lifeguarding, babysitter's training and child abuse prevention, American Red Cross Preparedness programs help people lead safer and healthier lives. Today's innovative programs also include teaching people how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to save victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

Last year, the Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross trained over 30,000 people in lifesaving skills such as first aid, CPR, lifeguarding, water safety and more. We want to teach even more people in our community these vital skills. Our vision is to train 10% of our population. Imagine one in every 10 people you meet on the street is equipped to save your life should tragedy strike. You can be a part of making this vision a reality by taking a Red Cross training class.

Below are instructions you will need to understand how to use the online registration system. Please read them carefully prior to starting the registration process. If you need additional assistance, please contact us by calling 419-329-2183 or via e-mail at rossl@usa.redcross.org.

Online: You can now register online for training classes! Here's how:
1. Find your username and password. If you have taken a class from the Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross since July 2005, you already have a profile created. You can call your local branch office or 888-590-0098 to retrieve this information during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM). If you have never taken a Red Cross training course, you must self-register before you can search and register for a class.
2. Sign in to the system with your username and password. Click on "Login" and enter your information.
3. Search the catalog for upcoming class dates. You cannot search classes unless you are logged in to the system with your username and password.

Click the title of each course to see a brief description of the course.

Click the plus sign to the left of the course name to view the available course dates and times at various locations.

Each class has a Schedule ID number. By clicking this number, you will find helpful information about registering for the course, items to bring to class and the appropriate dress for the course.

Add to Cart

Once you find the class date and location convenient to you, click the "Add to Cart" button to the right of the course information. After adding all of the courses that you need, click the "Checkout" button to process.

4. Follow the steps to complete enrollment. Click on the link below to get started:

Fax your registration form to (419) 537-6690.

Mail your registration form (with payment) to:

A receipt and course confirmation will be sent to you if you include a self-addressed stamped envelope with this form. Make check or money order payable to the American Red Cross.

In-Person: Bring your registration form with payment to your local Red Cross branch office.
