I was born in West Africa, Ghana. I am a student at The University of Toledo majoring in Healthcare Administration and a minor in Business. I am active in various organizations on the UT campus. I love being a part of the American Red Cross Youth Council because I can help change lives while learning as much as I can. Every experience will not be forgotten.

My favorite hobbies include tennis, hanging out with friends, and reading fiction books. At school, I am co-student council president and co-community service president. Community service is a major part of my life, and I don't how I would survive without it. Whether volunteering with my friends at a children's hospital or homeless shelter, serving on a school committee to improve the community service goals, or working on projects with American Red Cross volunteers, I love to help others. For me, it's nice to know that no matter how small and insignificant I am compared to the rest of the world, I can make an impact on my community. |

I’m a volunteer because I enjoy knowing that what I’m doing could be making a difference. The satisfaction from helping people is outstanding and is definitely worth working for. My cousin told me about volunteering at the American Red Cross and ever since then I’ve been here. |

My mother has been volunteering at the American Red Cross and I wanted to join the cause. I now have so much fun being around all the other volunteers and helping others. I tell all my friends about the American Red Cross to try and get them to join too because I’m very glad that I joined. |

I am a fourth year premedical student at the University of Toledo. I hope to pursue medicine as a career because I love helping others. I am also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Colleges Against Cancer, as well as providing my services as a peer mentor. In accordance with Red Cross, I also hold a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic. The reason I am with Red Cross is because I believe many people do not take appropriate preventive and immediate measures to better their lives. I hope to install this type of knowledge and awareness. |
