Volunteer Opportunities
If you like to help people, you have come to the right place. The American Red Cross truly relies on volunteers to help provide compassionate care to those in need. Volunteers constitute 96 percent of our total work force to carry on our humanitarian work. The American Red Cross helps people in emergencies every day. Whether its half a
million disaster victims or one sick child who needs blood, our vital work is made possible by people like you, who learn how good it can feel to lend a helping hand.
New System Streamlines Volunteer Activity
The Northwest Ohio Chapter is pleased to announce Volunteer Connection, a web-based system that streamlines the way we recruit, match, train, deploy and retain volunteers. The Volunteer Connection tool will improve the communication and management of one of our greatest assets— volunteers. Everything from posting volunteer opportunities and an automated application process, to training and deploying current volunteers will now be done through this one system.
